hello peep's The weather is hot, gulf waters in the mid eightys. Inshore bite is still on redfish, snook cobia, tarpon trout, even pompano. the inshore grouper bite is good. Last of the incoming and the first of the outgoing tide seems to be the best. Plenty of mullet everywhere in chazz, but the reds aren't with then as of now. Pinfish are thicker than I have ever seen, greenbacks are very few in bayport as of now. The topwater bite has been good using zara spooks in the mullet pattern, gold spoons, soft jerkbaits in white or bream color or my personal favorite watermelon red flake chartruse tail. Look for structure such as rocks yellow botton, island with mangros with depth around them. Scallop season is near and booking up, great family action. stay hydrated fish early morning or late evening depending on the wind..
