ok peep"s been awhile posting sorry, let get right to it winter patterns are in trout and reds are all over the flats.three keys to remember are no1 current, cover, tide should be on ur mind for locating fish on the flats the only one i left out is my favorite water temp. wtaer temp ill tell me where on the flats or creeks the fish ill be. inter can be hard fishing due to low tides, just remember fish follow the tides not to say all fish ill they will aways be in armer water. live bait ill ork but more fish ill be caught on artificals. this is the time of year to slo down ,make multiable cast and be persistant. look for and kind of change in the bottom a slight depth change can hold fish. look for rocks mud bottom, island and creeks.for trout i like 1/8ounce jig heads with mirro lure little johns in the rootbeer , white, bream, watermelon color. for reds i like a soft jerkbait on a skib a gap hook ork sloly around any type of cover my color choice is atermelon chartruse tail, chicken on a chainand plum color i also like a gold spoon ,even topwater baits such as a rappla skitteralkin colors redfish, clown, bone. these are my choices that work for me. good lock and tight lines the rajun cajun
