the weather plays important role on our coast due to shallow water it can get rough. fronts this time a yr mean high wind. but u can still fish the flats, there is a lot of cover u can get behind to be out of the wind, islands and creeks and mangos. out territory is rough and hard bottom . it takes time to learn routes, my suggestion to new fisherman go out on low tide and see all the obstacles bottom, limestone rocks and oyster bars. there is no shortcut to learning bayport or chazz. good lu... redfish have been chewing great, look for the mullet and limerock bottom. Cut mullet has been the bait , pinfish and greenbacks will work but they want the chunk mullet.Weather and wind are our nemius fronts still this time of year. I like to back off and make longer cast so we don't spook the school, I use power pro 10 pd braid with a 25 pd leader and a light wire 2 ought circle hook.

For lures i love topwater zara spooks in the colors bone and mullet patterns, and my favorite  the gold broken glass mirrodine.  i love soft plastic jerkbaits,i only throe mirrodine soft plasticsin colors  white  watermelom, chicken on a chain...

Last of the incoming and the first of the outgoing tide seems to be the best. Plenty of mullet everywhere in chazz, but the reds aren't with then as of now. Pinfish are thicker than I have ever seen, greenbacks are very few in bayport as of now. The topwater bite has been good using zara spooks in the mullet pattern, gold sp... Read Full Post »

Winter Time Fishing

OK Peeps we got a blast  of cold air into Florida and dropped our water temp down into the low 60's. This is the key ingrident for skinny water trout fishing. We are crushing a limit of trout in skinny water on the XL Mirro Dines in verious colors. Work the tides to your favor on lime stone bottom, kelp beds, and oyster bars are areas to target. Reds are all over the plcae and snook are thick. Give me a Call ASAP and lets get you on a great fishing action.
